The Fiji Digital Strategy project involved creating a comprehensive digital content strategy, executing a social media campaign, and producing a video featuring the Prime Minister of Fiji. The project aimed to promote Fiji’s ecosystem-based approach to sustainable ocean planning, as outlined in their National Ocean Policy (NOP). The main goal was to raise awareness and support for Fiji’s commitment to sustainably manage 100% of its ocean area under national jurisdiction and designate 30% of marine protected areas by 2030.
We developed a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with the objectives of Ocean Panel countries’ SOP. This included managing a targeted social media campaign to engage and inform a global audience about their sustainable ocean initiatives. Additionally, we produced a high-quality video showcasing the key elements and goals of the NOP. Our efforts were complemented by close collaboration with Ocean Panel countries’ governments, an international editor, and local stakeholders, ensuring that the strategy was both inclusive and integrative.
Metrics
We successfully completed and launched the video, which became a central feature of the campaign and received widespread attention. The accompanying social media campaign achieved significant reach and engagement, generating over 750,000 impressions across various platforms. This initiative effectively raised awareness about Fiji’s sustainable ocean planning efforts, earning positive feedback from stakeholders and the international community.
